i feel like this is a win today. i can feel it in my plums. cant tell you all wwhy....sooo just consider this a tantalization

1. When you get a rush don't try for that elusive 4 on 1. Need to keep back b/c all they do in scoreless games is counter. Stay in layers which is more effective anyway than 3 guys winding up crashed behind the net. You will have plenty of chances for zone time.

2. Get a lead so they stop playing a mindnumbingly boring game.

3. Hold the lead and be prepared when they switch styles while behind.

On the last note. I thought Minnesota played much better while trailing. I want this win b/c I don't want that syle of hockey to be copied. It would be like teams just tushpushing for 2.7 yards a play all the way down the field in football. It's boring AF and needs to be solved by everybody.

likely out till they come back home i would assume. with his history of concussions and injuries, rather they play it safe than rush him back

Just saw on NHL.COM Cernak is likely to play tonight - or at least be available to play. Read in their "today's lineups" article.

I dunno if I believe that though. And I agree sitting him, for reasons u stated, would be wisest.

Not really a big issue that the 4th line guys aren't contributing much of anything yet. They aren't there to be major scoring threats anyway. Atkinson and Ace keep getting shifted between lines as well, so there hasn't been any time for either to build any chemistry with consistent line mates. No reason for panic or cause to go out and overspend on some new plug. None of these guys are making much over league min anyway, so if any do need to be replaced down the line, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Girgensons, Atkinson, Glendening, and Eyssimont have not scored one goal in 10 games.
That is incredibly concerning.

Atkinson is the only one who has a higher xGA than xGF, it's not something to be thrilled or concerned about IMO. I did have high hopes for these guys, but we're just 10 games in.

Very. This is not going to be good enough come playoffs. Depending on what is cooking in Syracuse, it may not be a bad idea to add from within in a couple of months

If we have 3 solid scoring lines and the 4th line is effective and controlling the puck and playing defense and being a pain to the other team that is absolutely enough for the playoffs. Ice time distribution for 4th lines in the playoffs goes way down. The 4th line is gritty right now and not a liability. That's good enough. If they score it's a bonus.

Going to miss a bit of the game. I'm getting my haircut, and it's long. Grew it out like a prisoner because I was in the ban house. Going to take a bit to cut. Each hair that's cut off my head will be refreshing. Like reliving the moment I read that Sheary was waived.
