NHL RIVALS AND NHL TOP 10 TUESDAY STARTING AT 11 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBCSN’s will debut two new episodes of NHL Rivals and NHL Top 10 this week, as NBC Sports Group continues to expand its NHL coverage with programming focused on hockey’s historic rivalries and some of the game’s most-debated topics.

NHL Rivals, which debuts this week on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN, dovetails off of NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Rivalry, which Forbes dubbed “the hottest new brand in sports.” This week’s episode will feature the Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres. The two teams are forever linked by memorable moments, including Buffalo forward Brad May’s “May Day” overtime game-winner in the 1993 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Bruins forward Milan Lucic’s open-ice collision with Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller in 2011.

Was just going to post that info in this thread. :( - I guess if you snooze, you lose.

Too bad that Top Ten is about Top Ten Defenseman and not about the Bruins-Sabres rivalry. You could easily do a list of Top Ten Games/Goals/Saves/Fights of the two teams. If anyone misses tonights show NHL Rivals - Boston Bruins-Buffalo Sabres - it replays on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm ET as part of Wednesday Night Rivialry on NBCSN with the Bruins-Sabres game at 8:00 pm ET. Feel free to post your comments on the program in my thread that I made yesterday.

I thought Dave Strader and Brian Engblom did the Tampa Bay game?

NBCSN’s game coverage begins Tuesday night with the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 pm ET. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (analyst) will call the action from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY.

Your right, they did do that that game. They're not as bad as the other clowns.

Great, we get to listen to Pierre and Doc for a fourth time.

B's fan here.

I'd rather listen to them instead of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver.

I'll be flipping between this game and the World Series.

Here's to a clean, injury free game!

Knock it off with Grigs on the fourth line ...

Vanek Hodgson Flynn (Flynn is a hardworker and opportunist)
Ennis Grigorenko Foligno
Girgensons Larsson Ott
Scott Porter Stafford (Stafford and Porter could cycle the whole shift)

MAKE IT HAPPEN !!

Florida fan here, they play you on Friday, so I'm just wondering are they really a 1-9 team or has it been a lot of bad breaks?

It's hard to say really. They've been in almost all of those games, with goaltending to thank in large part, but goaltending is of course part of the team. Lack of finish and lack of puck possession do the team in. In today's game, with how good the goaltending is and with how the game is played, you have to be able to cash in on opportunities and you have to be able to compete in puck possession.

They kept it close enough to have won many of those games, but the truth is they've been outplayed consistently. So yeah, they're really bad, but their record could easily be better in spite of that.

TSN 2 is supposed to be airing this

I checked the TV schedules at the TSN website and according to it, NHL Rivals isn't on at all. Looks like they would rather repeat their "Thats Hockey 2-Nite" half-hour program a dozen times per day instead. The PERFECT time to show it would have been tonight at 7:30 pm ET as they are showing the Bruins-Sabres game at 8:00 pm ET. Unfortunately, a program called "24 CH - Episode #3" (a behind the scenes look at the Montreal Canadiens - similar to the Sabres "Beyond The Blue and Gold" series.) is being shown instead. Oh well - maybe the Sabres will be allowed to show it on their website eventually.

Fear of embarassment is usually a good motivator, so I think that will spark them tonight and they'll put forth a competitive performance. Do I think they'll win? Eh, probably not. 4-3 Bruins in penalty kicks.

Paille
Eriksson
Krejci

Vanek
Flynn
Ennis

We're terrible. Thankfully, our goaltending has been excellent and is keeping us from getting murdered every night. Put it this way: We've led for 9:35 this entire season of a total 606:50. That's 1.57% of minutes played. And all 9:35 came against Tampa, and we blew two one-goal leads in that game and lost in OT.
