I actually don't mind those, i think Schneider needs an anchor on d, and has been used as the anchor for too long. Lindgren Fox is good but maybe Gus can work there too, never know til ya try.

Miller and Lindren can move the puck as well, i dont think the other pairs are devoid of puck moving, so worth a try. Only concern i have is with Gustafson and Fox not being on the same page like Fox and Lindgren.

The D pairings are interesting

Especially the Gustaffson-Fox pairing.

I have a feeling we may be seeing a lot of that in third periods down by a goal or two.

For our last game tomorrow night, I'd like to see Lavi stop throwing darts and have a real dress rehersal.

You had five games, tryouts are over.

We're kind of close tonight but we're obviously still experimenting with the pairs.

I like that Lavi is experimenting. Seemed like Gallant came in and just asked the seniors who plays with who.

And even when he switched things around there never seemed to be any real intent behind it other than making the switch for change-sake.

Which is interesting is how many little tweaks we've seen all around the lineup. Whats telling to me is he/they seem to watch something for 2-3 practices/scrimmages/games and then tries something else.

You get the sense that they are retrieving feedback/data and actually internalizing it with a purpose.

Not at all, I'm just saying it's way too early to write him off. As for reporters, they love the click bait. The only people 's opinion that matters is management and the coaching staff. I'm definitely disappointed in how long it's taken Lafreniere to get his footing, I'm not convinced the player i watched in junior just forgot how to play hockey. Imo this coach is pushing buttons early to get results later and I'll be more concerned if he doesn't take some sort of step ahead much like Kakko did in the same year of his development. It's not hard to see that the organization still believes Lafreniere can be a player, Kakko by all means deserved a top spot to start this year over him but they leapfrogged him in preseason in hopes of getting Lafreniere going, i get the feeling management still believes Lafreniere will be a top player on this team, guess we'll have to wait and see. It's way too early to know right now.

I agree. But he's only 21. Turns 22 in a few days. I know we all expected and wanted him to dominate right away. But it's unfair thr amount the fan base has turned on him without acknowledging the circumstances he's been in. He's hasn't been developed properly by this team and now it's biting him and the team I the ass.
