I disagree. Chiarelli panicked and traded for Brett Connolly and then didn’t make the playoffs. He should have started a retool that season. Sweeney made the right choice. Made the team significantly worse by trading away good players and now they are picking 1,2,5,6 or 7th overall basically securing a top end prospect.

He also doubled up the good prospects pool by adding zellers and minten.
