Good hit on Kopitar. No reason for Richards to take 17 minutes in penelty.

Unless he felt like he had to contribute to the team. He hasn't been doing too much else this season.

Can't blame this game on a weekend afternoon. The Kings, as a team, haven't been skating well since the season started. Tough to count the Edmonton game. The Jets are are kind of...eh. Nobody really showed up for the Sharks. Quick was the only reason the Kings pulled out points against the Coyotes and Blues.

Cup hangover, Kings are pacing themselves, other teams are getting up to play the champs, whatever it is, it is.

I'm okay with the coasting if we're still getting points. It's October and we are missing three contributors.

Also, Quick. Thank goodness.

Good hit, very rare to see Kopitar get nudged like that. Glad Richards sent a message, just surprised neither Clifford or Mcnabb got involved instead.

This is worse than 2012. We were putting up very good possession numbers in 2012. We just couldn't buy a goal. This year we are getting wrecked in possession every game. I think we can safely put it down to being start of regular season not playing with 100% effort etc though. Since it makes no sense for a team that has been a top 3 possession team for 3 straight years to just fall off a cliff with the same roster

I have no doubt they will turn it on when required

Plays anywhere he's asked, is in the top four for FWs' time on ice, has a couple of points on a team that seems to be low scoring and sends a message to an opponent laying a hit on Kopitar. The man can't do anything right.

Quick was the reason they were still in the game and the same is happening now but I agree with what you wrote and they score............
