Spooner is really bad defensive on that goal against - I hope he is gone at TDL. He is not near the production he had end of last season and he is streaky and stone cold at the moment - nothing much going on offensive.

So, Spooner/Namestkinov is in 4th line? We have two players on 4th line earning $4M a piece? Our 4th line carrys a cap above $8M+? Really?
Spreading the wealth. Thats what our hard earned Rangers dollars are paying for. What a joke.....would prefer they gave it all to Jesper.

Why is finishing a check like Hayes just did the exception to the rule? Do two teams that don't play each other very often have an Unwritten agreement that if you don't hit me I won't hit you?
mostly yes. its always been that way, we just have less goons/"agitators" who would stir things up against every team

its a long season and hitting hurts. saving it for rivals

I miss 4th line energy players like Hollweg.. You knew they weren't scoring but they at least were entertaining ..

Now we are just stuck with the no scoring

And there's still people that want him in Hartford...Unbelievable!
Uh, yes, because he can steal pucks and cycle and do all sorts of things that lead to zone time and posession or take shots in low % spots but over and over he'd get the puck in a high leverage spot and literally freeze, paralyzed with what to do.

This didn't happen once, it happened many times over the course of a few games. This particular game he's being more decisive under pressure so that's better and surprise people aren't saying send him to Hartford.

Hawks are stretching them out a bit.
They need to tighten up that neutral zone..

If Malkin plays the way Hayes tries to play, he'd be in the KHL by now.

He hasn't been freezing, but even if he was. That it's not a thing that he needs to learn in the AHL, he would just dominate down there and it wouldn't mean shit. He passes the eye test and the analytical test, now he just needs to be on the score sheet.

They're getting through them even though they're sitting back in a 1-2-2. They're still somehow getting that stretch pass through, and it's been happening all night.

Man if hank ever changes his mind about staying here the blues would give up like half of Missouri to get him.

There are a handful of teams that would be much better with him.

He really should consider if he wants to be on the playoffs.

I've never seen a team with worse eye hand coordination on loose pucks
