Wow Sabres game are getting so predictable. Down by two going into the third. Ofcourse they'll score one... and take a penalty to ice the game.

And why was Ott not out there to take that faceoff? Hodgson did well on faceoffs tonight but Ott is the best man on the team.

Just popped in to ask.

Lindy is punishing Regier for trading Roy and Goose...

Hopefully Regier finally punishes Lindy for sucking ass for a decade

Because Cody was the best of the worst at the dot tonight.

Still doesn't make sense to me. Not good logic. You go with your best faceoff-man and I love Hodgson but will admit he's been very poor at the dot almost all season long. Ott is the best faceoff-man on the team and he's on the bench in a must-win faceoff situation in the offensive zone after nearly scoring seconds before.

I have always been a Ruff supporter, but things like this and Hecht being among ice time leaders against the Panthers really questions my faith nowadays.

They said earlier during the game Hodgson had the team best 44% in the dot. Which is clearly the best of the worst but a team best.

Upon a closer look the announcers were wrong. After tonights game Ott has won 41 of 84 faceoffs for a winning percentage of 48% and coho has won 81 of 192 for a winning percentage of 42%.

Not to be rude but...why?
And an answer other than "He took them to the stanley cup in '99 and the ECF in '06" would be preferred. (not trying to troll/be a jerk, I just haven't heard a single compelling reason as to why ruff would be better than someone else. I think he could still be good elsewhere, but his message is definitely stale here)
