I liked Janmark's demeanour and focus in the post game scrums. They know, we all know, they're still down 3-1. But they showed some heart and fight, and put some belief back for us fans. Focus on the good here, still some sloppiness defensively they should clean up (especially in the first) but they absolutely crushed it under the strength of the 4th? 3rd? line of Janmark Brown Henrique.

Great win when you needed it. Go get the next one Oilers.

Knock on Holloway's Draft scouting report is that he could have better finish . Those two goals he scored are usually reserved for the highly skilled. So happy for him ..
Yes. If he find his offensive game, with his motor and speed, we’ll have yet another Oilers stud on our hands.

Add Broberg and the generational Bouchard and the future looks bright. Giving zero reason for McDrai to look anywhere else for a better chance at a cup.

With his skating ability and puck poise he had the ingredients. Question was would he get comfortable and have the game slow down for him. But man, is he answering those questions. This guy has ice cold blood. Was thinking maybe he did.

Yeah, he's stronger now, and good move for the Oilers to give him a lot of time. The org doesn't get credit for much in how they develop players but the extra bakingfield time for Broberg has helped.
Personally I always felt that was always an experience thing vs low processor. Got lost in a team in chaos and Woodcroft wouldn't play the kid. He needed big minutes all situational play to get his confidence back but also the critical time on ice to build the experience. Took some cajoling with his agent call and trade request threat to get this organization moving to do something with a top pedigree guy they were letting wither on the vine.

Many people forget how hard it is for defensemen to onboard at the NHL level. Very difficult position and Broberg's development got stalled out on a very volatile Cup window team that had major work to upgrade its blueline from his draft year with adding veterans Keith, Kulak, Ekholm that pushed him down. Then the elevator ride early this year made it a coaching decision to press box the kid.

I have big credit for Ken Holland who handled this relationship with a pissed off player to perfection. Patient, not reactive to trade an unhappy player. Lots of personal, direct communication with Broberg to reinforce the team's belief and plan in him, follow up to meet with Broberg in Bakersfield as well. A lesser experienced GM might have dealt the pedigree player for spare parts.

Nice to see the kids adding meaningful support in this team's critical time of need.

Broberg+Holloway will be full time for Oilers next season. Lavoie might be too.
YOURE OFF THE CASE BOBROVSKY
I sure hope so but you know he will bounce back in game #5.
