Sure he did. Best goalie in the conference finals, he outplayed Otter and got us to the dance off a Game 6 steal and in general great series played in Round3. Also helped us beat LA. And finish off Van, but we probably won in spite of him in that Van series. He didn't take us anywhere lol.
What's the point? I donno whats the point of posting anything on a hockey forum.

The stats also don’t tell the whole story. Context is needed. Some work involved to understand why the stats are what are they are. Also the fact that we are in the SCFs with Skinner being our starter doesn’t lie. He’s helped us get here, that’s a fact, and it started even during the regular season where we needed a 16 game win streak to get back into the playoffs picture at all. During that streak Skinner played elite and did exactly that. The stats don't lie.
Very troublesome snap shot here, but unfortunately we've seen this movie several times alreadyI was scared to start this game. Skinner couldn't track a puck, looked really shakey, but then we potted that first one, got a couple clutch saves and some luck with posts, and the rest is history.

The context makes the bad stats even worse. Oilers have been one of the better defensive teams these playoffs. Only teams with a worse 5v5 sv% in these playoffs were the Caps and Kings, both 1st round fodder teams. The stats also don’t tell the whole story. Context is needed. He is possible for game five according to the coach. No news on Kane whatsoever, eh?
The Panthers will pull out all the stops in game five.Game 5 may actually be the hardest game of the series to win. If we can do that, its back on.
Why are we only talking about 5v5 do special teams not exist? Or is that the only way to parse the stats to make Skinner look bottom of the League? And besides, pretty sure Helly and the Jets had worse too. But anyways, the context I was talking about is to see how those goals happened. The Nurse-Ceci pairing in particular has been really bad statistically to these playoffs, they are also to blame. The context makes the bad stats even worse. I cant imagine why they would play Kane at this point in time.He is possible for game five according to the coach.
Yeh same. He’s just not making enough plays out there. Keeps killing possession for Drais line.I cant imagine why they would play Kane at this point in time.
Exactly. Too many missed defensive assignments as well.Yeh same. He’s just not making enough plays out there. Keeps killing possession for Drais line.

This early?Just the earlier stuff. I could never get into anything from the last decade at least
Early In Flames songs give me chills, it’s so good
100%Looks like Mulletman was right
Again
Sure, but Oilers are great until they aren't. We play excellent and then fall apart, so there is a bigger context to the Oilers stats. Skinner's goal in game 3 was possibly the most backbreaking goal possible, it cost us the game, but the team has made many brutal mental errors in front of him too.
I don't think Skinner has been a factor in the finals outside of the game three goal. Ya if we had bob we win this series, but if they had McDavid we don't. It's not a real comparison to make, because we can't afford a ten million goalie, we have guys that are supposed to score on them, and they hadn't
Maybe on the 4th line for RyanI cant imagine why they would play Kane at this point in time.
Dumbest argument I’ve read all day. If everything is based off of pay- we need to boot Nuge, Hyman, and Bouchard off the PP and play Nurse.Ya kinda strange to compare a 2.5m goalie to a 10 mil goalie and say "he's outplayed skinner in 3 of 4 games, it's all skinners fault"
With the way our team is constructed, skinners job is to give us a chance, and I'd argue he's done just that in 3/4 games this series
Should we be mad that McLeod hasn't been able to produce at auston matthews level this playoffs?
