Tbh it's actually not on Lilleberg or Perbix. This is 100% on Cooper. He's controlling everybody behind the bench and the secret Santa gifts given to the guys on the team has left him responsible for their bad attitudes and poor play recently. Just look, no team has ever lost 3 games in a row before and it must be because they want him gone. It's the only reasonable conclusion.
Why doesn't Cooper make Lilleberg skate better? I don't get it.

He's not using speed burst! He needs to click the sticks! Hold some triggers! Mash a few buttons, but he's doing nothing. Now, I just saw him bully Halpern for his Juicy Fruit before heading down the tunnel? How much longer must this go on...

I'm pretty sure in NHL 09 dynasty mode you could control precisely what attributes the players focused on in training. Cooper hasn't put enough points into Lilleberg's agility.

Thats gotta be it. And because he used all the XP on Gum Chewing, the players are playing because they want him gone. I cant believe we figured it out.

Right, because giving the two AHL players more minutes makes a lot of sense.
That's not how it works. let's say we have a pair MCD-Perbix and Lill-Cernak. That means that Perbix and Lilleberg will play the same 14-15 minutes, and the remaining 5-6 minutes MCD and Cernak will play together. I hope that helps.

Hagel does that shit all the time at the blueline, such a piss off.

No, it doesn't. Why would you run three lousy pairings (Raddysh doesn't get a pass this year) instead of 1.5 decent pairings? Perbix and Lilleberg average 15mins toi already, so all you're doing is sacrificing one shutdown pairings for the hypothetical that Perbix and Lilleberg will be better off with a better defenseman (one of which will face tougher opponents alongside McDonagh). The issue is that we have Hedman, McDonagh and Cernak as NHL quality with the 50/50 appearance of the remaining three and Moser on IR. Youre hellbent on looking at everything through "it's Cooper fault" goggles to realize this isn't on him. He's not pinching. He's not missing passes or shots. It falls on the players and the quality of half our defense is quite different than the better half fundamentally (except maybe Cernaks inability to score one f***ing goal). So, no it doesn't help. It's another poor take.

Jesus can we please figure out how to stop guys from skating in alone? Completely sealed them off and then just let a duck skate through the middle.
