When Pat was signed I expected a guy who would walk to the paint and disrupt things on any line, a very specific role. But the team sucks so much that he's also had to be more of a play driver etc all along which is probably not a strength at this point but he's trying.

Fat Pat got manipulated good by management for the TDL. Emphasize the poor performance of the team in the Winter Classic and then scratch the likable young guy on your line who you thought you had worked out of the dog house. Too bad he's probably only worth a low pick.

He's up there on this roster in knowing what hockey play he wants to do and doing it. Too bad foot speed prevents him from doing anything that includes getting to loose pucks that are more than a few feet away.
