GDT: 1/28/25 - 7:00PM EDT - Chicago vs Tampa Bay

I dont care about fancy advanced stats that no one understands anyway, by eye test this team is much worse than last year. I dont remember them being constantly dominated by teams like Chicago and San Jose last year. They just had a little more defensive mistakes and worse goaltending, but they were a more functional team. Now i'm not even sure you can call it a team
Fancy advanced stats like Goals For, Goals Against, PK and PP? Wins and Lose record was even better than last year? Are these not quantifiable for you? Lol

Nah, we're slightly better this year than last year because we aren't giving up as many goals. We were pretty shitty last season outside of the PP until the deadline when Duclair gave us a spark.

This team is more balanced but has a canny ability to not put the puck in the net on nights when they actually defend pretty well.

1 f***ing goal, 3 unanswered..Against the worst team in the league. Our window is slammed shut, but this WC should not be struggling with these bottom feeder teams

Oh well, JJ with his usual guaranteed 3 or more allowed, and their goaltender made some good saves. Tampa's big guns couldn't finish multiple timed so it's looking like 0 points tonight. Oh well, end of the tough month of January. Plenty of games to go and they're still in good shape overall.
