Sloppy 3rd but a dub nonetheless. Finally had a 2nd period masterclass. Crazy how invisible Timo Meier was most of the night for the Devils, I've always thought he was a bit of a passenger, stat padding merchant, but man, he's been brutal since the trade to New Jersey.

After the goal where he failed to cover the point or even attempt to block the shot he didn't play much of the second period and into the third.

In the post-game press conference Ruff mentioned sitting 5-6 players. Didn't notice who the others were - though Toffoli could have been in that mix as well.
