Based on last season, I wasn't expecting much offense from him this year, so the fact that he's scored 8 goals in half a season is a pretty nice surprise. But I don't know why he's playing pp like we all of a sudden think he's a scorer. You're out of your mind, Chaffee has easily been our most effective bottom 6 forward this year. If you think he's bad defensively you aren't watching.
He's got a NMC and the Pens aren't trading him without 50% retention anyway. I am less worried about the shell of his former self as Pittsburgh is just absolute shit from top to bottom and everyone seems know it but them.No chance we make a run at Karlsson. 2 more years after this at $10M? They would need to retain 50%. He's regressed every year, he's a shell of his former self.
I'd much rather them go for someone like Oleksiak if Seattle is willing to play ball. Getting another huge body who can play both left and right side. He's got a NMC and the Pens aren't trading him without 50% retention anyway. I don't want him but I think the Lightning might

I originally wanted Kreider but each passing game has me more and more worried about player handedness than I ever thought I should be. We have one right handed 1 timer option for the PP and it's Point -and he's gotta live in the slotI'd much rather them go for someone like Oleksiak if Seattle is willing to play ball. Ding ding ding ding dingOnly reason I can think is he's right handed.
His DFF% is 40.8 and is DFF%RC is -14.70. There have been way more dangerous shot attempts against than for when he is on the ice, especially relative to his teammatesYou're out of your mind, Chaffee has easily been our most effective bottom 6 forward this year. Even at 50% I think I'll pass.
you're 100% correct, but it's a bad reason. Coop has said some good things about his shot, and he scored a nifty goal against Detroit the other night, but not everyone in this league can play the bumper like Point can. Obviously more goes into it than having a decent release.Only reason I can think is he's right handed.

He only needs to wait it out a little longer in Chicago before a playoff team comes calling. Might be the last run for him if he gets that chance.Bro Pat Maroon looks like Fat Mac in Always Sunny. God I miss that tank
