Guentzel is a left-handed shot. That can work, but it's a very different look from having Stammer there.

Kuch gets time with both PP units. What we're really working on is a PP of Hedman-Kuch-Point-Kuch-Guentzel
Yep, Guentzel is a lefty, but he's still better than every other option. Again, as a 24 goal scorer, only 7 guys in the NHL have more goals than him, and one of them is Point. So you don't need to work him into the plan as much as you just need him to be a threat that pkers need to respect. Otherwise they're just lock in on Point. If he can drag a body closer to him then he's doing his job.

With the whole righty and lefty thing, in a perfect world you'd like to have guys in their preferred spot, but we don't have that. On defense, you'd like every pair to be lefty-righty, lefty-righty, lefty-righty, but we understand that it's still better to have Moser play opposite to Hedman than Perbix or Raddysh. So I don't know why we put guys who aren't pp guys on the ice for the sake of them being rightys. They still have to be good and capable of doing what they're tasked to do.

way too many passes. You force the pass through 3 bodys to Point and don't even get the one timer, so what's the point?

We generate a lot of offensive pressure from our Defense. Moser coming back would help a bit. But we seriously need like a consistent 15 goal scorer, and any bit of offense in the fourth line.
Chaffee is good for the 4th line. I think we are gonna take a run at Karlsson, deploy Howard and Duke at some point by next year and use the cap space we are gonna get for quality shut down players. Ace, Atkinson, Girgensons and Glendening add absolutely nothing.

I don't think this is our year. But I have every reason to think its our last one in the woods.

We are almost there bud

4 power plays, and held Montreal to just 14 shots on goal through 2 periods. That's a good combination, and yet it's a tie game. We sure do make things hard

Point. Backhand. Post.
Go together like falsetto voices, thin white male singers, and lyrics about ‘me and you, babe’

Chaffee provides too little offense for how bad he is defensively. Also Ace shouldn't be added to that group

This season is taking on a decidedly 16-17 feel to it. It's a good team but we give too many games away and come away from too many games with no points at all. Despite that, all of the talking heads think we have a spot sewn up. Kind of like 8 years ago.....

No chance we make a run at Karlsson. 2 more years after this at $10M? They would need to retain 50%. He's regressed every year, he's a shell of his former self.

You're out of your mind, Chaffee has easily been our most effective bottom 6 forward this year. If you think he's bad defensively you aren't watching.

Even at 50% I think I'll pass.
