Nazar does seem to fall alot and Bedard does bring the puck directly into the teeth of the D to much. his blind passes at times are a issue but when you are having a tough time getting shots on goal taking a few chances to get a HD shot im ok with a few.

Damn. A quicker whistle and this game feels a lot better. Bedard was still bad. Brodie obviously needs to go Im not sure what is going on there. Was he promised something at signing?

We need another center in the worst way.

There's a team problem of extending out to get pucks then losing the battle cause the other guy is on it as they try to bring the puck in. They should be chipping those out of reach pucks to the next best area (usually north) and try to force more 50/50 type battles. Instead by trying to gain possession they keep losing possession!

Sure it is, been watching it for 40 years. He falls down, often - to the point where in a couple games Pang's made excuses for it. He's got terrific speed, no question, but he needs to better with his balance. He's not the biggest guy so he also gets knocked off the puck, alot.

Maybe people here shouldn't elevate every prospect to godlike status and then get bent out of shape with any criticism. I get that we're all desperate for some kind of hope, but still. Really doesn't matter in the long run - this team is light years away from being anything decent.
My man, if you've been watching hockey for 40 years, perhaps you might have learned that sometimes you have shitty ice and catch a rut. Sometimes you lose an edge on your skate. Fast skaters are....shockingly, more likely to have this happen... This is honestly one of the most idiotic complaints I have ever heard about a guy who is a + skater.

Wouldn't Pang be able to see such a thing if that's what happened? It's an odd call on the fly to go to an inexperience excuse rather than him saying it's rough ice in that area. Announcers rarely call out ice conditions unless it's summertime heat, so maybe that's part of the reason to just default to him blaming inexperience.

Nazar has been impressive with the speed and better defebsive awareness and checking than Bedard BUT still has Not proven he can finish ..Gettibg only 1 shot on goal like last night vs.Canes also is Not 1st line effective attacking (But still even 1shot on goal ....on the break-away he could not finish on...was better than Bedard's ZERO shotsvon goal)...No "1st line " is going to scare anyone with 2/3 of the line mustering 1 shot on goal)..

Bertuzxi is effective in closecto the offensive goal crease..BUT he is slow and terrible in the D -zone.

Bottom line our"1line" is a joke compared to top 2 lines of contender teams..

Flawed pkayersxwho give one and done brief flashes...no sustained o-zone puck carfy and control and lots of shots on goal in 5x5 ..Resuk svin few multi-point Top Line ability..

You get some PP goals ...but this kibecand the rest of the Hawks deoeend on 1 and done flash "moments" because their energy usually used up defending hemned in own zone..

Hawks stink in puck possession...no ability to get pucks back off opps and only brief flashes in 5xt where they get transition break-aways orvthe occasional 2 on1..and usually fail to finish on those chances anyway ..7

Then criticize his edge work. Or his core strength. Don't say he can't skate.

Not sure what people are watching if they think Nazar’s skating is a limitation. It’s his strength, he is noticeably faster than most on the ice. I wish Bedard had his wheels. My concern with Nazar is he hasn’t shown any finishing ability.

Even if we are not seeing the end results quite yet I love seeing the young guys flying out there. Was bummed when they sent Korchinski down, rather see him then Brodie, Martinez and Jones even though Jones has put a couple good games together, nice to see him shooting the puck

ya, after 44 in 30.
Im not sure what you are trying to say?

He was amazing to start the year, slowed down a bit so you cherry picked the number of games for your stat and is still above a PPG.

Hes leading the Canes in points. Last night he was the best player on the ice. Maybe Aho?

It will come its just bad puck luck right now IMO

I think it's pretty clear what I'm saying. He isn't even close to the guy who started out the first 30 games like he did, but more like the guy who he's been in the last 17 games.

Its more clear after you edited your comment to include that....

Why 17 games? because its convenient to make him look worse? Why would you start there?

Oh yea on your edit you said that 17 games ago he started a streak of no points in 6 games and then started there and discount the first 30 games. That makes perfect sense. :thumbu: No agenda here.
Ya, we'll have to wait and see. Sharangovich didn't turn out like you thought he would either.
