quick thoughts before I ride on down to slumber town - really needed this game with LA next and then Anaheim on the back to back. Bolts came out really slow. Either thought SJ would be a cake walk because of our 8 goal win last time or what, but you gotta still play the game. Bolts flew in yesterday so they shouldn't have been jet lagged. So honestly I don't know. Even with a half baked effort, the skill alone should have been enough to muster more than 1 goal. The over play of Askarov should have helped too. The Point line was ineffective, and the bottom 6 doesn't have enough guys making an impact. You keep looking for someone to step up and break the guys out the slump. Kids did that to start the 2nd, but we somehow lost energy after a few minutes of that too. Complete head scratcher tonight, and it looks even worse after the NY and Montreal games. Gotta get it fixed quick. The Wildcard spot is not a place you should feel safe sitting in, especially this time of year.

Tampa, FL.
This was a Sharks team with 8 straight losses giving up 32 goals in that stretch, and the best that the #1/#2 offense can put up is 1 f***ing goal...

So, now you have to win back to back for this trip to be a success. Third shit game in a row where we couldn't hit a pass or the net and we couldn't defend at all. The Sharks weren't even impressive. Any competent team puts up at least five goals on us in this game.

Our game is slipping at the worst possible time. There's no time to work out anything when you have more than a game every other night. This could pretty easily spiral into a nightmare month where we go from a comfortable playoff position to fighting for our playoff lives. We need to figure things out and fast.

I went to bed and didn't see anything. What the f*** happened out there? How did we only manage 25 shots against a team that bad? Did we play for what we thought would be an easy shutout against a bad team again? I'm getting sick of that crap

Glad I didn’t stay up for this one. A loss to SJ, yikes.

As others have suggested January could get ugly REAL fast. We will see if this team is as good as we thought

A few days off, west coast trip against a bad team after flying in the day before. Bit of a trap game, can't put much stock into it. I like this Askarov, he has a little character to him. Postgame he kept acknowledging the crowd and looks like he's having a good time in the NHL, I could see this guy being the real deal for a long time.
