This is how they love to play. Looks like we will only get 10 minutes of effort today.
so frustrating that we're doing this the second we take a commanding position in the standings, getting boston over florida/toronto is such a huge advantage in the playoffs - they should be treating these like must wins

They signed wedge wood he just wanted to be in the nhl as a back up is what he wanted
They signed Wedgewood because Saros was out at that time.

Ironically they have. If anything they have been shit against our own division. They are like 1-5 against the atlantic. I think they have lost 1 game against the pacific.

Our passing has sucked, that isn't uncommon for us after a long 2+ game break. Once they start connecting the goals will come. I think we've looked like crap defensively more than offensively due to the bad passes to be honest, we've had some ok looks but we're getting beat badly in the middle of the ice.

You're right about how that wouldn't have made any sense for us to do.

Eyssimont doesn't quite have that extra element to him this year. By that, I mean being an absolute bastard to play against. Don't get me wrong, still feisty and effective but after his hit on Jensen last year, it seems like he toned down the agitator aspect just a touch. He's still a good player and I guess playing that way just isn't sustainable in the long run, but I wouldn't mind him kicking it up a notch. There were so many games last season where he was one of the most noticeable players on the ice.

He lead the team in PIMs last year. Maybe they told him to tone it down to stay out of the box.

Could be, but he is one of the few "pests" where I think it actually adds to his value as a player. He'll drag someone with him more often than not. Of course you don't want bad penalties, but he has skated away in some situations that he normally wouldn't. He's due.
