Vasilevskiy took the opportunity like a champ ... Drouin should really learn a thing about humility. And for what its worth ... rather have March in a bottom 6 role than Drouin's 8 - 10 minutes a night where he can get 18+ down in Syracuse with Erne, Peca, DeAngelo, and Koekkoek. This is positive in my opinion especially if Palat is really back.

With Palat back someone had to be sent down and Marchessault would've to clear waivers. It's better with Drouin getting 18 minutes in AHL than being healthy scratch I guess.

With Palat back someone had to be sent down and Marchessault would've to clear waivers. It's better with Drouin getting 18 minutes in AHL than being healthy scratch I guess.

Drouin is the only player on the roster that doesn't require waivers so he pretty much had to get sent down unless they're ready to waive someone. And with a couple of people's health still being questionable it would be risky to waive and potentially lose someone like JAM when TyJo could be out again next week

Sucks for Drouin though, the injuries really hurt him because he should be on the first line with Stamkos right now, but I think this is what's best for him getting minutes with some great talent, who knows, maybe he will play with like Erne which will be good for our team in the future.
