Had a chance with the late PP and throw it right in the trash. There is no sane reason to start with an empty net there. And no, the numbers do not support these goalie pulls that coaching has made, just f***ing atrocious when you actually have a golden chance to sneak back into it late.

It felt like we helped the Bruins at every turn. First from Pointer missing his meeting, then from Hedman's blunder, some dumb penalties, and lastly Coop's goalie pulls. The game last week was pretty close, so it give them some freebies really hurt us.

On a positive note I thought Geekie looked rejuvenated. Created some turnovers, got physically involved, looked confident. And Finley, not too shabby for a guy who didn't even get to practice with the team earlier today. There were fights, and big hits, and all that carryover from the last game against Boston, you're on the road in a hostile building, etc, but it didn't seem too big for him.

Fun game in the final 40. Fell behind the 8 ball and couldn't recover. Hats off to Lilleberg, just wish they could've rallied around that a bit better in the 3rd. Happy for Finley. Hedman, Vasilevskiy and Kucherov were subpar, then Point with his situation...not a recipe for a win. Massive fail as usual on pulling the goalie.

Still think it was an important game in a few ways. The group didn't put the tail between its legs when things got heated, but at the same time it showed how truly unequipped this team is with the way it's built. It's only going to get tougher, and Boston is not that good while icing a heavily depleted roster. Not even the players fault, JBB needs to look in the mirror. The only player who consistently steps up and deals with it is a rookie who has never even experienced it before. Could you imagine how painfully soft this team would be without Lilleberg? I liked Cernak stepping up to Zadorov and Raddysh throwing a massive hit, but I saw a lot guys not even making eye contact out there tonight.

There's no shortage of heart but BriseBois needs to wake his ass up, this is a group that can be roughed up, bullied and intimidated plain and simple. There comes a point where pride isn't enough, you need the personnel. Sickening to see on an otherwise great roster compared with how it has been for a decade+ prior.

Couldn’t watch the game. Outshot the B’s. No Point, and personally. I have NO problem with the penalty, unless he was in the DR’s chair. Not Vasy’s best game, by any means. Home game, and B’s came out to prevail.

Yup. Cernak and Lille are not the answer for getting roughed up at every opportunity.

Would love to see us get Mathieu Olivier. Girgensons is a warm body and nothing else. 0 offensive instinct. Glendening can be useful, but the 4th is a dumpster fire. No offense is expected there. If we could somehow swing a reunion with Gourde, you'd have an absolute gem of a shutdown line with him, Hagel and Cirelli. Paul, Geekie and either Ace/Olivier.

Something has to give at the TDL, that's for damn sure.

Apparently the meeting Pointer missed was on how to not attack the puck carrier and how to defend nobody on a 2-1.

If you don't want to be depressed dont look at the deserve-to-win-o-meter for this one.

Team lacks "glue guys". People can talk all the smack they want about how the ones we had are no good but we have slowly gotten rid of them year after year and it doesn't feel like the void has been filled from within. It's not like Maroon and Perry were beating anyone up but they galvanized the team and dragged guys into the fight. Then you have the Bogosians, Schenns, etc. Just some character, experience and grit around the edges. It's tough for some folks to comprehend but it's clear as day something is missing here, and it ain't skill. Especially in a season where you say goodbye to the captain and most iconic player in franchise history.

Some truly awful defending on those Boston goals, Vasy with a softie and that was that.

I know it doesn't matter but why pull Vasy after the first empty net goal? Every time I hear that goal horn and goal song my blood pressure goes up.
