He is definitely buying some time to see what he has. With his size and mobility, I think you hold onto that lottery ticket a while longer and see if he can continue to progress.

Overall, I think he's solid.

But then he'll make these big glaring errors.

Rookie mistakes? Or can they be smoothed out over time?

He's only played 37 NHL games, so it's worth giving him more reps to see where he's at by the end of the year. Nothing wrong with having a 6'8" RHD on the back end.

I think his development along with Allen playing solid caught management off guard.
If both were thought to be playing this well Brodie likely doesn’t get signed.
