NYR Injuries on opening night?

TSN has these players listed as injured:

Michael Del Zotto2013-01-13 questionable for Saturday's game against Boston strained back
Michael Sauer 2013-01-13 on injured reserve and is out indefinitely concussion
Carl Hagelin 2013-01-13 questionable for Saturday's game against Boston bruised shoulder
Brad Richards 2013-01-14 probable for Saturday's game against Boston flu-like symptoms
Marian Gaborik 2013-01-17 probable for Saturday's game against Boston right shoulder
Rick Nash 2013-01-17 probable for Saturday's game against Boston strained groin

Any updates on your big names? Are they ready to go tonight? I don't see an injury thread on this forum like other fan bases keep so I had to ask.

Good luck this season guys, you have a great team. Hopefully we see a re-match of the '94 Stanley Cup Finals.

tsn is in accurate alot so I say everyones healthy, we have not heard otherwise. Asham is out with a suspension so Segal in, thats about it. Bickel will start on 3rd pair with DZ. So Eminger and Gilroy will sit.

Also looking forward to Pens vs filth earlier in the evening...

I got a good feeling about our game...Damn good feeling...

Think this might get ugly.
In a hurry - especially if we get up by a couple goals...
Kind of actually miss Asham in the lineup - we will see what Segal has got then. Rupp and Bickel will most likely do some diligence here.
On the hockey side of things - very excited to see what The Rangers bring up front. Nash will be interesting to follow. The PP - will it rebound? The entire top 9 actually. And our 4 stellar Defensemen too. Hank, well ya know ... hope he outduels Rask!

HFNYR, today is the day we ride toward promise land. A journey with more ups than downs but more battles than not. 48 games and then 16 wins away from the cup. I've held modest expectations for years so I won't be disappointed at the season's end but this year, magic will happen.

:yo:

I've asked this question before in the GDT, but I don't want to look through 7 pages to get my answer. Has Bickel been confirmed? Is it because we're playing Boston? Or is he officially our #6 for now? You can't tell me Eminger isn't a better D-man when healthy.

Everyone is 100% healthy, with the exception of Sauer, who is still suffering from the concussion, he may never play again.

From everything Tortorella has said this past week, he wanted Bickel paired with Del Zotto. Bickel has more upside then Eminger.

I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised by Bickel this season. He worked very hard over the off season. Took martial arts of some form, too.

I'm warming up by watching the Rangers/Bruins game from 2/14/2012 that I had saved on my DVR from the off-season. :)

This is a solid team. Gonna be a battle

pretty sure Caron was supposed to play instead of Bourque but he got hurt. Nice top 12. BUT we are very solid too. Let's Go Rangers!

LW C RW
Brad Marchand Patrice Bergeron (A) Tyler Seguin
Milan Lucic David Krejci Nathan Horton
Chris Bourque Chris Kelly Rich Peverley
Daniel Paille Gregory Campbell Shawn Thornton

LD RD
Zdeno Chara (C) Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg Dougie Hamilton
Andrew Ference Adam McQuaid

More upside in what?

i wonder if any particular rivalries have developed over the lockout. i mean, will there be payback for certain players who might be perceived as having been not-supportive-enough of the union, for example.

Even though my wife's cousin plays with Boston ,Adam McQuaid, I'm really hoping for the 2 points and no loss of life in this game . I expect it to be very physical and the Bruins can really bring it . Seguin and Bergeron have been playing...that helps ! They have a good club with a really good physical presence . We have to watch the retaliation PM's . They are a bit weak on the backend and the nets compared to us . That is where we need to pounce on them . Strong forecheck by us will get us a couple very early and we will cruise to a 5-1 win and I expect 4 fights in this game . We will do better in the game then the fights .

Very solid team indeed. Also, the Bruins are the team that had the most players playing during the lockout (10), and this should help them, especially during the first few weeks of the season. Tough game, but I'm confident we will pull it out. LGR!
