Speaking as a Sharks fan, I will readily agree it was a terrible call. One of the worst of the year, I dunno, but it should have been a penalty on Hertl, yeah.

It shouldn't have been a penalty on either, but a player in Trocheck's position is always going to get that call, right or wrong.

I was thinking of a tactful way to put it, that's good. They broke down the defense and basically were about to score. So in a split second collision if the ref sees things, he's gonna see it in favor of the offensive player.

If that was really "possession," Hall's goal would have been unassisted. If there was no penalty on the play, do they remove the assists from that goal? No, 10 times out of 10.
