The same can be said about pretty much every goalie in the league in their first game this year. Watch Price vs the Leafs. He was even worse and he's usually one of the best in the game in that aspect.

I dont think he is trying to put down Miller and say he is a bad goaltender, I think it is just simply saying he needs to find his groove fast for this team to be successful.

Anyone that knows me knows I'm a Miller fanboy. Yep, I said it.

He had some issues yesterday with some shots that concern me. Anytime it's a long range shot, you should be able to direct the rebound to a less dangerous place in the rink. A few times yesterday, that rebound came right back out front. That's all I'm saying. yeah, I know it's been a while, no exhibition games, blah blah. It's just an observation.

I definately understand that. Most of them got at least a bit better that have played their second games already so hopefully we will see at least marginal improvement in that area. I think it comes from rust tbh.

Expect a bit of a pre-game ceremony, as puck drops at 7:21PM ET per Carlyle's morning presser. He added that the Leafs will integrate some new guys into the lineup, likely Fraser-Holzer in for Franson-Komisarek, maybe more. Scrivens will start in goal.

I think over analyzing any of these players who haven't played in months, after one game, is follow. However, I also don't analyze goaltenders by trying to pin every goal on that player as many people here do.

Also : that Giroux shot was a rocket. That goes in 99 times out of 100 on any goaltender.

I think Oldgoalie was just saying Miller needs to be sharper and get his rebound control better. That was not a slam against him, just an observation. You can find a flaw in EVERY player's game.

I was just presenting some evidence that shows how his control of rebounds and being sharper would've made for safer result. We're not going to get as lucky that many times in a game. If those two are counted, which they should've, it's a completely different game.
