17 to 6 at the dot. Sabres must improve face-offs... Especially considering how many of those were in the defensive zone.

Well, if it isn't... Miller time!

I like how our defence looks tonight. They make me feel secure. I like how Kaleta and Ott chase people around, and I'm not worried about Scott's lack of hockey skills - he's not THAT bad. I like how Grigorenko plays. He looks like he belongs. And I like how Ennis flies across the ice. There's a lot of things I like about what I'm seeing so far.

I think Grigorenko looks out of place TBH, looks tentative out there.

I'm just hoping that they can stay out of the box and keep moving their feet on the forecheck in the second period.

I disagree. Things will start clicking offensively for him soon, but I haven't seen him out of position or caught in any bad situations yet

What are you seeing specifically?

That my take as well. And frankly that quite normal.

He looks afraid to make a mistake defensively so he isn't taking chances.

I really like his puck possession though. He had a very strong play along the boards early in the 1st.

The positive is he hasn't made a mistake defensively...he's been reliable there.

Off ice officials forgot to let Myers out of the box and leafs got an extra 20 seconds of 5-3. It we had a real set of announcers they might have noticed it. Also, not sure why Ruff wasn't complaining a bit more about that.

That and he is not winning many 50/50 pucks. It's not because he can't but because he is hesitating a bit.

Looks like he is constantly thinking about his positioning and when he does get the puck it's a quick dish to a line mate. Not great, not bad either.
