Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Even with the back-to-back shutouts in this series, on average, the Rangers have played better than expected. I don't watch nearly as much of the Penguins as I do watch the Rangers, but the Penguins are not playing anywhere near where they were a few years ago.
People give the Penguins more credit as a team than is deserved. When Crosby and Malkin are on their respective games, the Penguins are a tough to play, but the Rangers have the edge in terms of the overall team. The Rangers have better defense, goaltending, and I got to give 10 of the top 16 forwards a lot of credit. They really are performing at their best!
I don't think there is much more the rest of the team can do. The fact that the team has played well, yet the score card, aside from game 5, has not reflected it is a product of hard work and effort by team members who are doing all they can, but they aren't in the position to score, or they just don't have the top-end goods to be an elite scorer, but those guys impressed me none-the-less.
The problem is the Rangers "1st line." I'm not trying to be a pessimist. I'm trying to be a realist. As I said, The Penguins are not as good as they once were, and Crosby and Malkin have also not been as dominant as years past, so the Rangers could potentially beat them; however, if the two sleeping giants, Crosby & Malkin, come to play today, and the Rangers "1st line" isn't ready to play there isn't much else the team can do.
As always, I with for the best, but to stay alive, the big money players have to show.
