How many minutes with McDavid? Seems weird to exclude thatWhere are you getting that? Before tonight at ES without McDavid this year he’s been on the ice for 19GF and 12 GA, a 61.3 GF%, while McDavid without Draisaitl had 20GF and 22GA. Draisaitl‘s other underlying numbers are also strong without McDavid: 57% xGF%, 61.2% HDCF, etc.
Also before tonight he had 17 ES points in 437:33 at ES without McDavid, a 2.33 P/60. Obviously much worse than his numbers with McDavid, but still quite strong when you consider who he’s usually playing with without McDavid. It’s better than what guys like Nylander and Jack Hughes have put up in total this season.
His most common linemates at ES without McDavid on the ice are:
Podkolzin: 288:24
Arvidsson: 198:46
Kapanen: 86:42
Brown: 79:01
Skinner: 58:05
Perry: 54:01
Not particularly helpful linemates for production.
His most common lines away from McDavid are
Podkolzin- Draisaitl - Arvidsson
Podkolzin- Draisaitl- Kapanen
Combined those lines have 8GF and 5GA for a 61.6 GF%
Good players play with good players, MacKinnon plays with Rantanten 24/7, Kucherov plays with Point etc - where's the point? Especially when you consider the crazy decrease of talent outside of McD when Drai centers Podkolzin, Kapanen, Arvidsson, Brown...How many minutes with McDavid? Seems weird to exclude that
Was just a question man, it was just a very in depth post but for whatever reason left out a pretty big piece of info that would provide context.Good players play with good players, MacKinnon plays with Rantanten 24/7, Kucherov plays with Point etc - where's the point? Especially when you consider the crazy decrease of talent outside of McD when Drai centers Podkolzin, Kapanen, Arvidsson, Brown...
Drai is the real deal for ramping it up after getting the new contract. For comparison you've got duds like Pettersson and Huberdeau.I think Drai is running away with it, has an extra motivation after signing that huge contract. Would be cool to see him hit 60 club this year.
Ah ok, I see. Sorry, wasn't meant to be too critical against your post, you have a good point here! Was just a question man, it was just a very in depth post but for whatever reason left out a pretty big piece of info that would provide context.
If the entire basis of the post is that Drai plays more with other guys, telling me he played 288 minutes doesn't really tell you anything without providing the McDavid minutes. It's the primary comparison.
How many minutes with McDavid? Seems weird to exclude that
Try watching some games bro, hes been better than 97 all year. How many points does MacKinmon share with Rantanen or Makar?32 of his points are shared with McDavid. He is an even player when on his own line at ES.
Hardly the clear favourite for the Hart.
haha his linemates before arvidson came back were podkolzin (traded for 4th round pick) and kapanen (a team that isn't in the playoffs put on waivers) and he's still 2nd in the league in scoring.32 of his points are shared with McDavid. He is an even player when on his own line at ES.
Hardly the clear favourite for the Hart.
Crazy that in a team sport, having good teammates would be apparent.Good players play with good players, MacKinnon plays with Rantanten 24/7, Kucherov plays with Point etc - where's the point? Especially when you consider the crazy decrease of talent outside of McD when Drai centers Podkolzin, Kapanen, Arvidsson, Brown...
Hard to watch games when you're too busy crying about crosby's grace period being gone.Try watching some games bro, hes been better than 97 all year. How many points does MacKinmon share with Rantanen or Makar?
