A lot of guys in the race but I think odds-wise you give a slight edge to Draisaitl. Currently in the lead and both he and the Oilers typically have much better 2nd halves than 1st halves.

Edmonton's powerplay has been middling though so that could continue to take goals off the board.
He's actually tied with Brayden Point.

Both at 24 goals.

Point is winning it. He is underperforming so far and once he gets his shooting% up to 50 it's gonna be over.
You could say that about anybody, lol.

Out of the current top10 goal scorers Tavares (T10) has the worst SH% at 16.4, 6 out of 10 are at 20 % or better. Aside from Reinhart and Tavares all of them are also above both their respective career best and career average.

Ovi got right back on the board in his comeback game but he's bound to slowdown as he's boasting a highly unsustainable 24.2 SH% (career best being 15.4 %).

Wild to see two pairs of teammates in the top 10: Point and Guentzel along with Scheifele and Connor. Out of the last three mentioned I figure Connor has the best odds of finishing highest.

Thanks everyone for your opinions and discussion points, I am adding Alexander Ovechkin to my list. I think he will score at least another 12 empty netters this season

Alright knuckleheads, it’s time to settle in for the annual goal-fest showdown. As we hit the halfway mark of the season, Leon 'Der deutsche Scharfschütze' Draisaitl is leading the pack with 24 zingers. But wait—Kirill 'острые ощущения' Kaprizov and William 'Stilpoäng' Nylander are breathing down his neck with 23 each. Meanwhile, Brayden Point and Samson Reinhart are lurking like hungry wolves at 22.

Preseason favorite Auston "The Moustache" Matthews is still in the mix (probably too busy perfecting his celly). But let’s be real, if Draisaitl keeps sniping at this rate, Edmonton might just need to invest in a new trophy case.

Prediction? Leon's gonna power-play his way to Rocket glory. But it’s hockey, and if the puck bounces funny, this race could be tighter than a Zamboni schedule in January.
Well, Leon did score 2 on the pp today, but its funny that was your narrative making this thread because a talking point in Edmonton has been that hes NOT scoring on the pp this season, and even with these 2 goals today which were scored after your thread was made, hes still pacing for his lowest amout of power play goals since 17-18.

It’s kind of surprising how few players have multiple 50 goal seasons. After Ovi’s 9, Draisaitl is the only guy in the last 25 years who has 3.
Even looking back in history, Brett Hull has "only" 5, Selanne 3, Yzerman 5.

It's understated how special Leon's career is when you think about how many 50 goal seasons and 100 point seasons he may finish with.

Assuming he hits both 50 & 100 this season, it's four 50 goal seasons and six 100 point seasons.

He can conceivably finish with like 5-6 & 9-10 (nice) of each which puts him in very rare company on both accounts.
