Halttunen has so many tools, like he has the potential to be something really good, but I think it’s going to take a lot of work from our development guys. It’ll be really interesting how much they can get out of him.
It's really just the one tool isn't it? He could easily end up being Martin Frk 2.0.

Well, he’s huge, he’s a good skater, he has pretty good hands, he can shoot obviously. If he works on his game as a power forward, he could be more than just a shot. And again, it does sound like he’s been improving in other areas lately.

Halfway point of the game and it's still 1-0 Moose Jaw.

Portland is really struggling to generate offence. For a team that led the WHL in goals this season they've managed just 6 goals in the 3 and a half games of this series.

Cagnoni with a nice play to set up Portland tying this game up. 5:30 left in the 2nd. Lots of time but drawing even-ish seems to be as much as Portland is ever able to muster. They need to keep the pressure on and actually take a lead if they're going to put their fate back in their own hands.

EDIT: That didn't last. Less than 2 minutes later and the Warriors answer back. It's 2-1 Moose Jaw.

We need to work on overhyping our prospects. If MTL had Halttunen everyone on the message boards would know about him and they would be saying that he is not available in a trade for Moritz Seider. Instead the posters here are depressingly realistic about the fact that he has clear warts to his game. We should have fun and live a little, offer him and a top ten protected first next year for Nico Hischier.

I'll accept nothing less than Chicago's #2 pick and their 2025 1st in exchange for Orr and Ovechkin. By which I mean Cagnoni and Halttunen.

Portland ties the game up again with about a minute left in the 2nd.

You know, it's kind of depressing how few people in the stands are cheering for their home team winning a title for the first time ever because they're too busy staring at their phones while they film the on-ice celebration.
Same applies for concerts. I prefer the memories of an event to a shitty quality video which I'll never even watch.

Based on MTL logic any prospect who hasn't regressed is tracking well and has improved their stock. That means we should be able to trade Cardwell, Lund, and 33rd overall for a 10-15 overall pick.

I’m curious if anyone has seen Ozzy play there and know if he’s looking good? If he can find his game, I think he could be a really fun 4th line pest.

I think that ship has sailed when it comes to the Sharks. I doubt Grier has interest in a borderline prospect from the previous regime and Ozzy appreciates the opportunity he's getting in Milwaukee.

Reading the article, it very much sounds like he's ready to move on. When asked about the Sharks getting the first overall, he said that was great "for them" and is very much about the "we" when talking about the Admirals, which no doubt is to be expected.

Maybe but the Sharks will have to actually move him in order to move on. He still has next year on his ELC. Maybe they can swing a deal where we move one of Benning, Burroughs, Ferraro, or Rutta with Ozzy to get back Fabbro and a prospect like Ufko.

Would something like Benning + Ozzy be enough for Fabbro alone? I’m not quite sure I see the benefit from Nashville’s end of things, unless they really really… really like Wiesblatt.

Maybe? Fabbro sort of ended this season on the outside looking in on the Nashville lineup but he is also one of only four blue liners under contract for them next season.
