Mayor is reporting Zykov will be traded from Baie-Comeau Drakkar to the Gatineau Olympiques.

He's going to a better team and playoff experience (if the get there) will be good for him.

Currently, Baie-Comeau is seventh in the QMJHL standings with 42 points, while Gatineau’s 34 points have them sitting a distant 15th. However, from what we’ve been told, Gatineau believes they have a roster that could go far in the playoffs this seaso

Gatineau is not doing very well. It would be nice if he was traded to a team that was going to make the playoffs so he could get more games in.

That's a sucky injury to have too. I'm more interested in a full recovery than a great season. Bummer for him to miss the big tourney too, what a whirlwind ride for Zykov. hang in there kid.

Let's just hope Zykov gets traded to a playoff team before the season ends.

Maybe it's a Canucks - Kings type of two teams when comparing Baie Comeau - Gatineau.

One has more points but one is much better.

They haven't been healthy all season, but now that all pieces appear to be falling into place, I expect them significantly improve in the standings after Christmas.

They just added Yan Pavel Laplante and Tommy Veilleux.
This complements what they already have in Louick Marcotte, Yakov Trenin, Alexis Pépin, Mickael Beauregard, Alexandre Carrier, Élie Bérubé and Brandon Whitney.
They also have interesting young guys like Alex Dostie, Alexandre Alain and Jake Coughler.

They should be tough to beat.
In fact, by adding Zykov and another defenceman, going from last to first in their division would be a strong possibility.
