For NYI this would be like buying Tesla stock @$1200 and then selling it 1 month later @$1000. Palmieri is streaky, hope he turns it around soon. No interest in Zucker.

Zucker has been excellent this year lol did he run over your dog or something

I am usually the one to defend Zucker but no one has been excellent. Does Zucker deserve the criticism he was receiving this and last year? .......No, but the word excellent for anyone on the team this year is a streeeecccch

If .5 p/g equals Zucker being excellent for 5.5 mil per, I'm happy to part ways with him.

He did actually deserve the vitriol last year. He was atrocious. I'm not against giving it to him if he deserves it. But he looks like the main driver of the 16 - 9 - 42 line which is the best xG line in the league. And it does in fact line up with the eye test. This year so far the guy has been the player he was back in MIN. Hes carrying the puck into the zone constantly, driving wide with it and cutting to the net, being a major shit disturber on the forecheck, pestering the defense like an annoying little fly. Does he look like the second coming of Christ hell no but the guy looks very good. Its baffling to single him out or indicate hes been bad this year. I notice him in a good way a decent amount just about every game. Its been very encouraging for me actually because I was afraid he was cooked. No doubt 0.5 pts/game isn't lighting the world on fire in terms of production but in a small sample size (that also sees him dominating chances and looking good eye test wise) its perfectly reasonable to say hes been excellent. Because he objectively has. Unless someone has to be putting up Leon D numbers for you to say hes been excellent in a tiny sample.

I disagree with last year's sentiment on him deservedly being dumped on. Yes, he was easy to single out because he was brought in and was the new shiny toy and everyone expected him to thrive.

Unfortunate injuries stuck him with shitty line time and even when healthy was not really put in any position to succeed ( never put on a line with Sid/Geno injuries etc) That all being said when he got his legs back he was one of our better performers in the playoffs. So yes I think it was overblown but I wouldn't expect that from our fans.
