I propose an "anti-instigator" penalty. If player A does something stupid and player B goes after him for being stupid, and they fight, then the referees can penalize player A because he "had it coming and deserves it."

:sarcasm:

Enforcers are like guns. You are more likely to harm yourself with it, whether during an altercation or an accident, than you will successfully use it to defend yourself.

...lol...yeah, just realized I put "NOW campaigning for" instead of "NOT" campaigning for...getting old & senile... :biglaugh:

Doubtful… Rasmussen don’t want that smoke

They had 20+ mins and a 4-1 lead to do something, against an anemic scoring ducks team. No one did anything.
You're been actively posting in the other thread that is about the retaliation to this

Like this. This is so weird! Where does this even come from?

Repeat offenders barely get this many games.

Zegras should be suspended because it's a bad hit, but he has no history of this and will probably get two games.

Also, if it was going to be that many they would have offered an in-person meeting, which they didn't.
No in person?

No 5-10 but thats a 5-10 act all day every day

How in the hell was that not a penalty.

That’s as blatant of a headshot as it gets, and add in that it’s extremely late
Every major sport in the US has an issue with refereeing. These guys miss blatant calls, and it ruins the game to some degree. I'm sure you were watching the wings game last year when the Seattle player threw his stick at the puck, and no call was made. It's never going to be perfect, but you can't have that kind of nonsense go on.

...funny how little PoS' like Zegras almost NEVER try this bullshyte on players that play for a team with a Nuclear Option (Deslaurier, Xhekaj, Rempe, Olivier, Reaves, etc) on the bench...it's almost like there is an on-ice detterent for that behavior...things that make ya go "Hmmmm"...
Yea I never watch the Ducks, but it was clear they were comfortable taking cheap shots all night long. Maybe that's how they play all the time, maybe they knew they would be able to get away with it against the Wings. Either way, their play last night reminded me of the 2010ish Boston Bruins, and not in a respectable way.

...honestly, I don't even know why the NBA has refs anymore...the game would be fairer if it was Playground Rules and players called their own fouls...

He looks like a complete moron with his repeated "no way!" after he sees the replay.

Should be 5+, my guess is 4. Not like he does anything useful on the ice anyways, he's 361st in league scoring, and has less points than Cody Ceci and Mathieu Olivier. This little boy's career is on life-support.

I stopped watching the NBA a long time ago. Going to UCONN back in the day, I was always more attuned to watching college basketball anyways. I will say, and this is wayyyyyyyy off topic, watching the Mavericks publicly shit on a player THEY CHOSE to trade, has added an extra layer of distain for that league.

what's funny is that in these threads there are always people that "see nothing wrong" with hits like this. and significant percentage meanwhile.

what was the reason then for running Matt Cooke out of the NHL? That guy was clearly the best st hits like this over the last two decades.

I admittedly haven't read the whole thread, but seems like there haven't been many defending the hit.

It's pretty blatant.

Sadly becasue he is far more talented than most of the Red Wings.
