Chicago can get a good return for Murphy. He has positive value. Zaitsev is nuclear waste.

Sens won’t pay significant assets to dump Zaitsev unless we have a need for cap space. Cross that bridge when we get there… and pay off some of his contract in the meantime.

Only other way I see him being dealt this year is if we are taking back “meh” salary and the cost of offloading Zaitsev is baked into the acquisition cost at a discount. E.X. Zaitsev + 2nd + 3rd for 5mil player with neutral/slightly negative value.
