Trotz is playing that 13.6 dimensional chess. Sign old guys in free agency that don't fit the system. When it doesn't work dump the youth in the pressbox and bring up more youth that the coach isn't going to play.

This is a roster headed toward a set of geriatric misfits who get paid, surrounded by a group of tweeners picked up off the heap who are expected to carry the team, and a general purge of the farm and "development" pipeline.

We might suck for a very long time.
