The first 10 mins of 2nd period couldn't be any better in terms of chance generation.

Breakaway, 2v1, rush chances generated from turnovers....posts.

Nothing to show for it....

Good period overall.
in literally what way
I, like many of us, really liked the work Fitzgerald did in the off-season. However, the team still has gaping holes. We had an identity two years ago and he has over corrected sacrificing speed for toughness. At what point does Fitzgerald’s seat start getting hot?
in any actual hockey market his seat was scorching hot last season when he failed to address the goaltender position nearly all season while his team floundered.

luckily for tommy boy he GMs for a team who’s lead reporter will ask him stuff like “if you were a puppy what breed would you be?” and “what’s your favorite 90s sitcom” instead of “why are you wasting the primes of Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier by playing Palat Tatar and Dowling top-9 minutes every night you stupid sack of monkey sh!t?”

Seat isn’t hot at all right now, but he’ll be nuked immediately in the nuclear scenario we miss the playoffs. The chants calling for his firing in the season finale will be even louder than Fire Lindy.

If we make the playoffs he’ll be here probably for a while.

Just 5:48 of ice-time for Casey. I get Keefe is trying to shelter him but damn….

Would it really hurt to play Casey on the 4th line to inject some offensive ability to an otherwise dead line?

Say what you will about the Frank the Tank-- whether we like his videos (and some do) or not...his Devils rants get attention. What would non-Devils fans who dont look at the standings and watch those rants think the Devs record is? Whatever that number might be, it's not nearly as good as the record actually is: 32-21-- perhaps soon to be 32-22.

The trend is in the wrong direction, no doubt, but 32-21 is still 32-21.

At least with Rykov we got a competent NHL player

Macdermid is useless

Sure, but Grabner was also terrible here and almost unanimously disliked as a result.

My point is simply that I won't put much interest in it unless he makes his way over here at some point. I honestly didn't even realize Rykov actually came over for a year but went back to Russia after COVID paused things.

Never mind his videos, I’m resentful when this board reminds me of his mere existence.
