Colorado's top end is so f***ing good. But yes, overall, we need some more pieces, especially in the bottom of the lineup. Thankfully those are easier to find than top end guys.
Finding bottom 6 players isn’t that hard . It’s making cap room for them that is the hard part when you are stuck with useless players like Haula / Tatar etc

Fitz haven't done a good job building this team.

Again, we did not trade a first round pick for an aging goaltender to just make the playoffs.
I think it's a work in progress, but overall I like how we're set overall for quite some time. The future looks pretty bright with the young core we have and the pieces coming. The bottom 6 needs A LOT of work, but the top end is pretty solid imo, and we have more coming.

This team simply cannot be relied upon to string multiple good games together. They still have done nothing to convince me they are anything more than bubble quality. I don’t care that they are higher in the standings because the rest of the conference is also mediocre.

It will be too hard to fix the bottom 6 in season. We can’t afford to add anyone really and no one is taking Tatar / Haula / Dowling / Bastian / .
I’m done with Mercer . Trade him and Nemec if we have to . Add McCann , Evans . Pay to dump the deadweight .
The GM has a TON of work to do this offseason.

LOTS of deadweight here right now. Some are signed into next year and even beyond.

I really wish he would favor speed again, but that seems like a thing of a bygone era, other than a couple of the stars we have.

I have a feeling Fitz watching Team USA has him wanting more physicality.

It's his own f***in fault. Two years in a row of overcorrecting.

The one f***in really good season where SPEED was our identity was scrapped in favor of ''No dickheads'' and overloading on defensive defenseman, which is what he did this past summer.

Bottom 6 is a joke. The fact that Palat and Haula are both signed next year is scary. Palat has been fine (with the stars) but Haula looks DEAD. And then you got Dougie still signed however many more years, but we might NEED to actually keep him due to how pathetic the blue line would be offensively without him.

I don’t know about that.. Fitz got high praise for the summer moves.. Timo and others not playing up to expectations… injuries.. chit happens…

Cotter hasn’t been good in months. Noesen is the only one that’s produced a lot, but he’s done nothing 5 on 5 in months. Dillon is awful. Pesce is okay.

It was a stupid decision to sacrifice a first for a G until we at least saw how our goaltenders would react under a new system.

Jake Allen didn't become really good over night.

We could have used a first to get much more depth somewhere else. This screamed desperation from Fitz.

Enough with the excuses.

This team is defficient on so many level.

Haula is so bad at this point that if they don't wanna buy him out I would totally pay him and keep his entire cap hit on the books next year just to sit the f*** home. Like we did for Zubrus the year Shero took over.

But with Zubrus he was on a 35+ contract and we couldn't make that contract disappear, but they don't have that rule where you can't make a 35+ contract disappear anymore without keeping it on the books.

Not that it would apply anyway. Haula was (believe it or not) in fact not 35 years old when he was signed, nor is he 35 yet.

I feel like Mercer lost a bit of his identity and doesn't know what type of player he wants to be. Keep it simple, dog on a bone, shoot the puck.

Actually, most of this place miraculously defended that contract at the time. And of course chastised anyone that said it was terrible.

I don't think that's true. I hate that contract from the start and I don't remember being chastised for it. I remember the reaction being pretty lukewarm in general.

Everyone here was banging the table to get some stable goaltending, something that has been sinking us for a few years now. Fitz wasn't coming into the season without a reliable goaltending situation. Fitz went out, addressed it, and the goaltending has given us some very good results this year.

You could always use 1sts to help elsewhere, but our goaltending needed to be fixed, and it has been very solid this year. Using it now as a point to criticize Fitz is unfortunate.

The last bunch of years of atrocious goal tending called for desperate measures.

No issues with that trade.

That might be the one disagreement we have on the issue. I don't mind getting a goalie, it needed to be done.

But we now have so much deadweight of signings he made, who are NOT helping the team this year and there's no depth scoring because of it.

And the team is not speedy anymore. It's a joke.
