While I'm "comfortable" with our forward lines today; I cannot say that I'm comfortable with our 13th forward today.

I think if you can get a guy that can battle for a spot in the top 6, maybe push everyone down a peg on the left side, you're a lot better set towards a long playoff run.

On D, I think they need to upgrade or similar player to Holl, and get somebody who's physical. Use Dermott's cap space to do it and get Mayfield.

Dermott has easily been the worst this year. I’d flip him for Luke Schenn if possible and save 650k in cap.

We need to get a top six stud. I hope Nashville continues to drop in standings and Dubas can get Forsberg at max retention. I’d set up the lines follows:
Bunting Matthews Marner (perfection line)
Forsberg Kerfoot Nylander (speed, skill and responsible)
Mikheyev Tavares Kase (going to beat up on third pair d)
Simmonds Kampf Spezza (solid/dependable)
Ho Sang in on fourth line as needed.

1) "Perfection Line" has got to be the stupidest name ever.
2) Boston already uses it, and they deserve all the mockery it generates.

Top 4 D don’t generally score enough. We need another layer of impact offence.

There's not a single forward available that fits the need Kane did. We needed a power forward

We had plenty of goal scorers like Marleau who scored 20 plus goals for us. So did JVR

Goal scorers are not what we need. We need a D**** factor. Someone who can hit and score

Josh Anderson scored 1 goal. You’re talking down the idea of acquiring a gritty skilled forward because we got beat by gritty skilled forwards. we don’t need a slow D that can’t keep up and is barely an improvement on what we have already.
