In a best-on-best tournament happening right now where you pick the players for your team, how would it look?

Finland for me:

Laine-Hintz-Rantanen
Teräväinen-Aho-Kakko
Haula-Barkov-Kapanen
Granlund-Koivu-Donskoi

Lindell-Heiskanen
Heinola-Ristolainen
Nutivaara-Niku

Rinne
Rask

Taking into account who shoots left/right:

Hall - McDavid - MacKinnon (speed/skill line)
Marchand - Crosby - Marner
Giroux - Tavares - Stamkos (Point would also work here).
O'Reilly - Bergeron - Stone (shut down line, although Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron would also be great)
Extras: Scheifele/Seguin/Point

Giordano - Burns
Rielly - Doughty
Pietrangelo - Weber
Chabot

Price
Fleury
Binnington

Debrincat is American right?

I'm beginning to think America could easily be favourites for the next Olympics - or on par with Canada. So much young talent that will put them in a great position in 2 years.

I'm beginning to think you set that up on purpose to make this point, because they're really not.

"Cement-Skates" Scheifele wouldn't keep up with McDavid and MacKinnon.
This is such a weird thing, I don't know why so many people think this way. You don't need a bunch of players with the same skill-sets. That's why I think Hall-McDavid-MacKinnon would just be redundant.

It was by accident, DeBrincat played in the OHL which threw me off.

And I really do think America's team is good enough to win gold, although I think any of Canada/USA/Sweden/Finland have great chances. Their roster will be at a good age for this era (before vets like Kessel are done but with their new upcoming core entering their primes) and features many complete, two-way players.

Not saying you are wrong... but you count out Russia, huh?
