Barkov gonna be youngest player ever for team Finland. Not just warming the bench he's one of Our key fowards. But who is youngest player which have played at WJC? Does Barkov break up that record too?

I can't remember who, but IIRC, someone younger than Barkov has participated the WJC.

A quick google search provided this. No idea if it was correct (or has changed), but certainly passes the smell test on the Canadian side anyway:

- Bobby Carpenter was 15yrs and 5 months 13 days when he was named to the United States team in the 1979 tournament.

- Jay Bouwmeester is the youngest Canadian at 16 yrs 2 months 29 days when he suited up for the 2000 tournament

- Eric Lindros is the youngest to win the gold medal at 16 yrs 10mos 7 days

Meh, he probably won't even be the youngest player of the tournament.

Paajarvi was 16 years 8 months old when he played his first WJC. Hes gotta be the youngest since Bouwmeester

Looking it up, he played in the U20 as a 15 year old (he is born in February, so he turned 16 after the tournament).
