I think all the names on that list are locks except maybe Burns and Stajan. Martin has a good chance if he stays on the team, maybe Hale, and I extremely doubt Gionta.

Is Rico Fata still in his first pro contract?

Penguins have a ton of candidates
Fleury
Koltsov
Orpik
Malone
Abid
Caron

Fata's first contract would've expired a couple years ago, I believe. So, no.

The Pens will send Fleury, and possibly one of Koltsov or Orpik.

I wouldn't think so considering the amount of teams hes played for already but he still is only 23 right?

My pick for the Pens are Fleury and Malone.

Under 25(or 25 & under) and on their first contract.

DOes that mean, the first year of their first contract?

Or just on the 1st NHL contract?

Wouldnt that make Nash available... Or can you only play once?

It means the 1st NHL contract, and yes Rick Nash would be eligable...

I believe he was invited last year but didn't want to go thinking he deserved to be in the All Star game.

Maybe Michael Ryder and Jeff Jillson (I think he's still on his entry contract) too? Probably no Sabres this year unless Derek Roy gets called up in the very near future.

They try to not play a youngster more than once, and especially with the huge influx of young talent this year, I don't see why they would have any reason to play people they've invited before.

BTW, there's no way Eminger doesn't get invited. Leading all rookies in ice time I think.

I remeber last year during the game Barry Melrose said, the NHL added a rule that you can only appear in the young-stars game ONCE. I'm pretty sure there are no exceptions.

Is Kotalik eligible?

Klesla played twice.

So we could see Bouwmeester or Weiss a second time.

Klesla was named twice, but was injured a few days before the first game, so he didn't play. He's only played in one.

As for Nash, he should set his eyes for the main show.
