I took O'Gara.

Love how Tommy Cross is still considered a young D-man.

Chose my boy Arnesson because I know he's very comfortable playing his off side and is a good penalty killer.

This year? None. It's too crowded and Morrow/C Miller will likely get a look before any of them.

I'll vote for Cross though, I truly thought he retired two years ago to pursue a graduate degree. Not sure why I thought that.

He's over a year older than Krug and only 3 years younger than Mcquaid.

"But look at where Boychuk was at his age" No.

My answer is probably Cross out of the list but he's not young compared to the others.

Is Tommy Cross added as a joke? I thought they just retired his number in Providence.

Cross reminds me of Jamie Macoun.

I hope he gets a legit chance my favorite prospect

I voted O'Gara, his age, maturity, size, skating and defensive ability should be music to Julien's ears.

I wonder what Zborils chances are. He wasn't used correctly for the Sea Dogs and seemingly won't be thrilled about returning. Weren't there rumors of him going abroad to play as well?

Well Cross will be 27 in about 4 days. McQuaid will be 30 in Oct. Boychuk was 25 when he finally broke in with Boston.

In hockey terms neither are old, but I can't use the "young label" for anyone over 25.

And I like Cross, liked what he did in his short stint last year.

Should include Zboril and Lauzon in this poll. Just because they can't play in the AHL doesn't mean if they really (and I mean really) impress in camp they can't win a job.

I'd add Grant and Casto to the poll as well. You never know how it will all play out.

My point was Cross is not young especially compared to the other guys. Also, I find it funny that any time one of our defenders isn't living up to expectations, people just cite Boychuk like it's a common occurrence.

I don't mind Cross and if he's in the lineup by the end of the year I just hope it's not because Krug is injured.

Agree, late bloomers like Boychuk are pretty rare. Yet people cite him all time.

Problem with Cross is many here say McQuaid and Kevan both in the line-up are redundant, what does that make a line-up with both of them AND Cross. And that's not a knock on either player but you can't win in today's game with such a lack of mobility and transition throughout your D-corps.
