At least in Canada it is.

If you are Canadian with Netflix you have access to almost every PPV from the 80's until today, not all of them, like Canadian Stampede doesn't appear to be there.

You have access to select RAW'S and SD, that area needs A LOT work there are A LOT of episodes of RAW and SD missing, and there is no WCW, or ECW stuff yet but I'm sure that's coming.

We never had the WWE network in Canada the way the states had it, It's just a Chanel here, so this is great.

Being able to watch WM 18 for example whenever I want that's awesome

I want them to finish putting up RAW and SD and get that WCW stuff up because I want to watch the Monday night war from start to finish.

Can't do that right now but WWE on Netflix is off to a great start

This is false. If you had signed up through your TV provider, you were able to log into the WWE Network website with your cable credentials.

True but I don't think we (Canadians) coukd get WWE network on its own, right? Pretty sure you had to add it to your TV package.

Yes, we had 2 ways to get WWE programing.

1) Sign up via your cable provider, where you would have access to the WWE Network website by logging in with your cable creds.
2) Sign up for SN+ Premium or whatever teh top level was, you'd then get access to live events and a very limited library available on the SN+ website.

I really prefer the move to Netflix as I am a cord cutter and much prefer Netflix at $5-6 a month and then pay for an IPTV service for like $20 a year, costs me about 1/3 of what SN+ would have cost me.

We did, but since January 1st the channel is gone, at least for me it is.
Correct, it is all Netflix now.

Can someone walk me through accessing Friday's Smackdown in Canada via Netflix. I didn't watch it live Friday. Today I opened Netflix and searched WWE. It lists Smackdown for Friday the 10th. I found the Smackdown archive or whatever it's called. It began to autoplay the first one of 2024 so I went back to the episode list and above that one was one from December 2023 so I thought if I scrolled to the bottom of list it would show the January 2025 episode however it wasn't there. My eyes aren't the best so maybe on the left side there was a way to go by year however since I could see 2023 on the episode list I just assumed I would be able to see 2025 however maybe I have to select that year differently. TIA

I don't think it's there. I've read some Finns saying it disappeared.

I just found Canadian Stampede which means everything from 1997 is there.

Man I don't know where to start watching

Start at any point prior to 2002. When the WWF changed its name to WWE, the entire industry went full pejorative slur for an individual with low intelligence.

Canadian Stampede is an outstanding PPV despite only having four matches, and that was during a time when the WWF wasn't even doing well financially nor getting big ratings on USA Network (at least compared to WCW). HHH and Mick Foley always had outstanding chemistry in the ring, and all of their matches are worth a look. Plus Stone Cold vs the Hart Foundation was a fierce rivalry. Austin would have made such a great heel but fans in the US wouldn't boo him.

I'm aware of the Stone Cold VS Hart foundation rivalry I watched it when it happened I can't wait to watch it again, I just wish all the RAW'S were up, then I could watch it properly, appearently more stuff is being uploaded next month so hopefully then.

I think I'm going to start at survivor series 1995 because I want to see Bret win the title and 1996 has some great stuff.

The iron man match at mania 12

Summerslam 96

Survivor Series 96

The rise of Austin at King of the ring.

I feel like I shouldn't skip over 1996.

SS 95 is great. I think it tends to get overlooked because 1995 was a pretty terrible year for the WWF in general, but the Diesel/Bret match is fantastic (I believe it's the first time they broke an announcer's table during a match) and the tag matches are always worth a look in spite of the fact that most WWF guys didn't really have much drawing power at the time.

Iron Man Match at Mania 12 didn't really get going until halfway through, but it makes sense considering they wanted to pace themselves. I still believe there should have been more than one fall but I'm not on the booking committee for any organization, so what do I know? (not much)

I would have liked to see Vader as WWF Champ in 1996 but that wasn't going to happen since HBK (among others) hated the fact that Vader was so stiff in the ring. Apparently he reeked in the ring since he had a superstition about never washing his ring gear too.

KOTR was supposed to be HHH's moment but he submarined himself with the Curtain Call and had to wait another year. Austin was always far more charismatic than HHH anyway so I liked seeing him get crowned instead. As we all know the Austin 3:16 speech was classic.

1996 in general is a good year for the WWF as far as writing and match quality are concerned. You can definitely tell that WCW was forcing their hand and the Federation gradually abandoned their squeaky clean family image as the year went on. Remember, this is the same year that the Brian Pillman gun angle took place, and that was pre-WWF Attitude!

I think It's safe to say it all worked out for HHH in the end.

Of course it did. HHH deserves his place in wrestling history for sure, but even at the peak of his popularity he never reached the heights Austin did. I respect HHH though. The guy loves the business wholeheartedly and has a good head on his shoulders, it's no surprise that he ended up running the show.

HHH the executive is 100x compared to HHH the wrestler.

Can the hardcore fans make us a list of the must see PPV of the past we should watch.
Now that the WWE is on Netflix i feel like i have a lot to catch on .

I'll make it easy.

Start at King of the ring 1993 that way you get to see a masterclass of pro wrestling by Bret hart, that's where I'm actually going to start.

Then watch

Survivor series 1993 It's not a great show but you get the start of the Bret vs Owen rivalry

Royal Rumble 94

Wrestlemania 10

King of the ring 94

Summerslam 94

Survivor series 94

In that order.

You can skip the VAST majority 1995 except for Summerslam and Survivor series and to be honest the ONLY reason to watch Summerslam 95 is the ladder match between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon.

Survivor Series1995 aside 1995 is HORRENDOUS.

and then literally everything from 1996 - Wrestlemania 20 in 2004 after Wrestlemania 20 the shows are hit and miss.

2000 is arguably the best year WWE has ever had.

2001 is also fantastic

It'll take time for them to upload all of that. You're talking 52 episodes for year for each. They'll gradually upload it to keep people interested and I imagine within a few months everything will be there.

Wrestlemania X-Seven to WM 24 is also a good run to watch, each one of those were outstanding.

They had 2024, 2023, and 2022 uploaded on why not everything else.

and why is every RAW from 2002-2020 missing?

I'd go even further, I'd WM X7-WM 31

I mean WM 25 and 27 aren't great but you still have taker VS Shawn Michaelsand Taker VS HHH.

in fact Taker went on a run where his matches from WM21-WM29 were great

Main event of Summerslam 92

Money in the Bank 2011 is a great show for a casual. The matches are decent enough, but there's a lot of great writing too.

The main event of Summerslam 92 is even crazier when you think of the back story.
