This has to be the fill in for Oshie if he ends up on LTIR.
I think it's more likely that Taylor Raddysh and Brandon Duhaime replace the departing Beck Malentsyn and Nicolas Aube-Kubel on the fourth line with Nic Dowd.
Dubois replaces Kuznetsov at 1C/2C. Dylan Strome returns as 2C/1C.
Replacing T.J. Oshie, Anthony Mantha and Max Pacioretty on the top-nine wings are probably some combination of Andrew Mangiapane and promotions from within. Hendrix Lapierre (Calder Cup MVP) and Ivan Miroshnichenko will be getting long looks. Returning on the wings are Alexander Ovechkin, Tom Wilson, Sonny Milano.
Connor McMichael, Aliaksei Protas and Lapierre are natural centers who could play center/wing on the third line. CMC and AP will likely play a lot of 3C between them. Lapierre could see top-six roles to see if he can shoulder that responsibility yet.
Lots of roster change, lots of moves to get younger.
Much of it is intriguing, but they assumed a lot of risk in the portfolio with the Dubois trade. If it doesn't work, the whole kind of falls in upon itself and they might have to ask someone like a Lapierre to assume 2C duties.
