Unrealistic expectations is the only reason to not like this trade, considering the market. 1st and a decent prospect is what could be expected.
 
That conditional pick is completely moot to me. Especially already having the TB condition.

Even ignoring the TB condition........

Screw them winning the cup. I'm rooting for an implosion. Could be a 23rd/24th pick or the 31st pick & a 4th rounder.

my fantasy scenario was to land a RHD for hayes but knew it wasn't going to happen...not much to dislike about this return...

now while we need to root for the stars to win to make sure they get into the playoffs and even have an opportunity to win 2 rounds. the opposite is true for the jets. I now want the jets to lose every game they play...they are making the playoffs either way but make that pick as high as possible if they don't end up in the final 4 lol

Give JG some credit after the Zucc trade I'm sure we all thought that first might be a bit harder to get but he got it. I love Hayes and hope he does well but we need Nashville to win that division now and hopefully Winnipeg gets knocked out in the first two rounds. Who cares about the 4th. Give me a low to mid 20's rather than a 30/31 pick in round 1

but they play opposite wings...you could have those 2 with howden as your 3rd line?

His Points/60 this year is 2.2, so call it .55 points per game if he played 15 minutes. That being said, his shooting % is pretty high this year, so I'd expect that to come down as well. With a full season in an expanded role I think he's already a 30-35 point player at a minimum.
 
Meh return, but apparently the "rental"-tag is just what it is. (wasn't for Nash though, maybe the market was different last year)

The more i think about it more I want to see Ziba/Chytil/Howden down the middle. Give Lias top-6 role

Gorton has so many conditions on this playoff, watching them is going to give me flashbacks of the NFL season watching games while jugging rooting interests in Draft Kings games and bets.

Fasth was actually born Fasth but then legally had the H dropped.
