I feel like Arizona might need to add something else, but I may be discounting how much Scheifle has fallen off, if that's the case. I still put Scheifele as more valuable than Chycrun by a little bit. Crouse and Stanley is probably pretty close to fair.

Arizona is looking to get younger and build a core to compete in 2-3 years. Mark Scheifele is 29 years old.

I don't see why Arizona would make that sort of trade since it doesn't fit in with their rebuild plan. They'd be better off keeping Crouse and Chychrun.

If the Jets are trading Scheifele, a LHD is not a desirable return. Nothing against Chychrun.

Thoughts on a deal between the two:

Scheifele & Stanley

for

Chychrun & Crouse

In a vacuum, it's not bad, but the Jets don't have the depth at C to make it work and it would seem weird for the Coyotes to trade for a 29 year old giving where they are.

My understanding is this fella can play both sides.....unless I am misinformed on this?
Yes, he's played well at RD this season. But he's spent most of his career at LD.

Coyotes need a haul of young pieces in return for a Crouse Chychrun package.

2022 1st, Stanley, Lucius, Rashevsky, 2024 2nd is in the ball park of what Coyotes would need and even with all that I think most Coyotes fans would pass.

Probably just aren't great trading partners right now.

It's a bad return for the Jets in terms of value, but it also makes no sense for Arizona. Scheifele with his age and cheap contract are far more valuable to a contending team

I wouldn’t even consider this if I’m Arizona. Two players they don’t need at all. Esp Stanley.

Arizona needs to be in tank mode for at least the next two drafts.

No. He was drafted 11 years ago. He’d be an OHLer, impressive everyone, and living up to his 1st round pick status. Which is precisely what Arizona is looking for in a Chychrun trade.
I think you’ll get a better offer taking 2022 or 2023 1st round draft picks.

Chychrun isn’t having a banner season so I don’t love your potential to get a guy that was a high pick in 2020 or 2021 that’s played well post draft.

No idea why this trade also includes Crouse. Kinda doubt you’d even want to trade that guy. He’s pretty good.

I wouldn't give up Scheif for those two.
What are we going to do with another LHD.
JMo
Dillon
Samberg
Heinola
Schmidt (if need be)

No room for Chychrun
