Would this be this the best Canucks logo?

It's been years since this was designed but it still sticks out to me as the best non-official logo ever made. If I was the owner of the Canucks, This would be it:

I do like that he has an old timey pilot cap on, like the original wartime Johnny Canuck. I hate the proposed jerseys in that picture though. This logo on our current jerseys would look cool.

Not advocating another change though, too embarrassing to change it so often.

I think its pretty bad to be honest. It might just be those jersey's. The blue is too dark and the lines on that angle looks bad.

Don't like it at all. Should just ditch the VANCOUVER, stick the logo on the white jersey on both home and away jerseys and leave it alone.

That's a really bad logo for a professional sports team. Considering it looks nothing like the Johnny Canuck we've been using up until now, we'd have to explain to everybody, what that logo is, why we have a pilot theme going now, what happened to the other Johnny Canuck, why NOW we went from traditional jersey striping to the Reebok Edge style that everyone else is phasing out.

I fear that simply leaving the several negative responses in this thread to speak for themselves is not sufficient for communicating to the OP that this logo is terrible.

Also the Canucks have averaged about a logo per decade (including the V) so maybe we just give it a rest and stick with the mediocre one we've got for awhile?

The Canucks original logo was not an aviator or a superhero and it makes absolutely no sense to reinvent the logo as such. Johnny Canuck in the context of the WHL team was a skating lumberjack. Either you honour the history of the team or you go back to designing fantasy logos for other teams.

I find it somewhat funny that on message boards and what not people constantly talk crap about the current jersey. However, out and about in the real world (i.e. outside the world of hardcore hockey fans who spend all day talking hockey) it never fails that people comment on how nice it is. It's an interesting dichotomy.

btw, I'm not a huge fan of the new jerseys. I wil always have a fondess for the skate and white jerseys of 94.

The skating lumberjack looks too much like a cartoon to be a NHL logo, would work well in the AHL or Juniors, but doesn't fly at all in the big leagues.

I like the stick in rink logo, it's simple, recognizable and classic. If not the stick in rink, stick with the orca; maybe update it so that the logo actually uses the green and blue colour scheme.

This is odd for me to say because I am fully a 94 jersey fan. But I like your jerseys right now. Look very crisp. Clean. The only thing I'd change is maybe change up the 3rds. Make it green for a season or two.
