Would the Canada roster, in a 82 game NHL season, where the players they have were "copied" and released to their normal teams as well so they could compete, finish in the playoffs?
Absolutely. The wholesale replacement of "grit" and "savvy" with skills should be able to completely offset same, plus whatever chemistry comes from playing with linemates for extended periods, or anything else the select team lacks. Assuming Team Canada gets to draw a few more roster players to make a 23 man team, injuries can happen to anyone.
Team USA should make it too. If they didn't, their HF fanbase should be howling for management blood. Although they finished awfully strong, and Canada under-achieved? Who knows...
Definitely Schenn would get traded though. He's unnecessary.
