Those two teams just always struck me as boring teams. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Devils are a fun and up and coming group, but they had bad luck with injuries this year and some of their younger guys like Mercer didn't quite take the step forward expected of them. They have many good pieces though and should be set for the future.

Siegenthaler practicing for New Jersey?

(Double-posted from the Devils' subforum. I dont make content often so I wanted to share! Lol)

How many minutes of the series have been watched by the above posters? Game 2 was pretty awesome in terms of pace of play and both goalies made a ton of great saves. Seems like it's a 'boring series' because people decided it was a 'boring series' before the puck dropped.

Like I get it. Neither team is a huge draw nationally but good hockey is good hockey. You just actually have to get out of your bubble and watch it.

Tampa-Florida could be another one considering the injury bug with Tampa. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Florida won in 5 games no less, there just a physically menacing team.

And I also feel like it should raise questions about Kucherov's playoff totals if they lose in epic fashion IMO. Does he truthfully have the ability to carry a team in the playoffs without the elite advantages of every other position? (Centre, D, Goalie)

II agree. Canes are soooo boring to watch with no superstars and their shoot anything and everything mentality. Its effective, but boring. Devils I havent been able to get into for 30+ years now.

Wild are similar for me, but at elast Knights are fun to watch.

Stars/Avs is a great series
LA/EDM is comedy
Panthers/Lightning is gold
Jets/Blues is pretty boring
TOR/OTT. Leafs are always fun to watch
Caps/MTL is boring but I enjoy cheering against all the insane Habs fans.

Can usually tell who the NHL thinks sucks viewership wise by who gets the really early starts, crap days if possible, and less stations.

You're sleeping on Kaprisov.

It’s always lower rated markets generally. Not surprising when you see Florida Tampa got 1pm Saturday despite the fact the series might be good it’s not gonna drive ratings

Clearly some of you didn't watch the Carolina-NJ series. Game 2 was actually a great game, lots of great chances and incredible saves by both goalies. It's hardly been the blowout that we all expected it to be. I still think the Devils will win one at the Rock (I hope I'm wrong!).

Honestly, from what I've watched so far, Minnesota-Vegas has been the least entertaining series to me thus far.

Funny how the perspectives differ so much. I think Canes-Devils has been good - great goaltending, great chances, drama (Hughes going in the net, the slash). I'm particular to the Canes here so that probably helps but the last one was pretty even.

Blues-Jets first game was incredibly dramatic and exciting to watch. And I hate both teams.

Maybe I'm easy to please as pretty much all the games I've watched have been good hockey. Caps-Habs maybe the worst but even that has been pretty good and dramatic, even matchup. (Haven't watched the Central/West Coast games as they start so late that I'd have to stay up until like 6-8 AM here, not really feasible.)

Are you folks actually watching the games or just going off of teams that you like or dislike?

Cutting through like a hot knife on butter series:

TOR vs OTT
WSH vs MTL
LAK vs EDM

Can't stop because it's elite:

COL vs DAL

It's just not there:

CAR vs KEEFE (NJD)

Oh now Tampa has the injury bug? Weird, everyone was picking Tampa over Florida for the same reason.
