Just getting home from the hawks game, really. Name me on moment the crowd could have got excited. One please... Yeah I was trying to pump up my section but there was nothing, no intensity, no heart, no hard work. Been a blues fan for 30 yrs, worse effort I have seen yet.

There was a time when our top 6 consisted of Weight/Young/Sillinger/Tkachuk/Cajanek/Stempniak. Those were the dark ages.

Brett Hull night.

Still the most embarrassing game I have seen.

Those were the good days, cheap tickets and while the teams where ****** they still had a better work ethic than what we are currently seeing. But yea the atmosphere was pretty bad most nights.

Overreaction? No, not at all. No life tonight, I have had more fun at a blowout at a river otters game. That was pathetic on all levels.

Was there tonight too and felt the same way. Brett hull night is still tops for me but this was close. It was just depressing and it shouldnt be.

Worst game in the last 30 years? Not even close.

I remember some very embarrassing performances older then the Stone Age from the Blues in the 1990's : 3 game sevens in the Playoffs come to mind : 1991 vs. the Blackhawks, 1993 vs. Toronto, and 1995 vs. Vancouver.

But the worst game I witnessed was a 8-0 home loss to Vancouver. That was GM & Coach Keenan and Team President Quinn's final game before being fired.

Ohh I remember that time, they actually hit in that era. I usually can get excited about anything during a game but this one had nothing at all. No big hits, scoring chances, not a dam thing.

I spent 600$ for my family to see this crap? F that, Chicago is good but we looked AHL level at best tonight. If you want to be a contender you have to want to win not let up a goal in 12 second not do anything about it for the next 59 min.

I was pissed about the lockout but came back anyways. After tonight I'll watch at home and let everyone else pay these millionaires to look like a high school team.

 yeah they sure did hit, On the cost, these days you have to take out a small loan to take the family to a NHL game. I long for the old arena days every now and then when you could afford going to the game and working your way down into the more expensive lower bowel seats also

I feel your pain here, that is a lot of money to spend on entertainment for the family. I have been able to afford my season tickets again for the first time since 05 (that was a fun one) and have seen some awful performances this year. This was not the worst showing of the year IMO, let alone 30.

I know its frustrating but this is when the Blues and the NHL need people like us more than ever. We need to work together and bring the casual fan back. The most pumped the team was this year was the first game of the season against Detroit. The crowd was pumped and we played great hockey. Think about the differences.

This is where people like us differentiate ourselves and show our passion. I went to every game and cheered in my empty section during my last season tickets and I will do it the same here. Highs and lows. Keep your chin up and shoot for some cheaper seats. $600 is a lot of money!!

Dude, chill out. We played the best team in the leagues and our whole second line is out. Did you honestly expect us to win? This was for sure not the worst game in 30 years. Maybe it was the worst game you've ever been to, but as a season ticket holder I've seen much worse. MUCH MUCH WORSE.

I missed the Brett Hull night. so I don't have that to compare to. But the worst game I remember being at was against the Oilers a few years ago. It was an early december game and we gave up something like 5 goals in the 3rd to completely crumble.

Of course, then they played at least 1 or 2 periods of good hockey, but that 3rd period was the worst I think i've ever seen.

EDIT: found the recap of the game. http://blues.nhl.com/club/recap.htm?id=2009020462

I don't go to every game but the ones I do go to are usually fun somehow, last night just had nothing for me really. I know the Hawks are on fire and we have injuries but the team looked uninspired. When I say worst game I don't mean the biggest let down or getting beat bad, I mean the entertainment was bad. We had nothing to get excited about.

I spent a little extra cause Hawks games are usually fun and I don't mind watching a loser as long as the team is playing hard but that was not the case last night. By the way why was the fight stopped before it was started, could of been the highlight of the game for the Blues.

Tad south of STL.
It looked to me like the Blues was trying to live up to the rivalry legend, and lay out big hits most of the night, while Chicago took the hits, but focused more on the puck.
The fact our second line is out is a valid point, but lets be honest, outside the Calgary game, this team hasnt been scoring much the last few weeks anyway.
Media made a big deal about the Blues being back on track after the road trip, but 2 of the games went into OT. 1 regulation save each game away from not getting anything.
I am not laying the blame on any one player, but this team is not getting the big saves when needed like we did last year.
Way too many passes in the offensive zone, instead of getting pucks to the net.
Way too many passes up the middle in the defensive zone.
Way too many shake and bake moves at the blue line.
While I am venting, all these pre game clips keep showing all the fights and big hits over the years against Detroit and Chicago. Wouldnt it be nice to start building new memories, like big wins over these teams? Only one I can recall seeing is the Brett Hull OT goal that sent Belfour off the deep end.

You've clearly only been a blues fan for 2 years if those are your 2 worst games.

There have been PLENTY of much worse games.

U have no idea how long ive been watching the blues... I was talking worst game ive been to not the worst one ive seen on tv.
