It looked to me like the Blues was trying to live up to the rivalry legend, and lay out big hits most of the night, while Chicago took the hits, but focused more on the puck.
The fact our second line is out is a valid point, but lets be honest, outside the Calgary game, this team hasnt been scoring much the last few weeks anyway.
Media made a big deal about the Blues being back on track after the road trip, but 2 of the games went into OT. 1 regulation save each game away from not getting anything.
I am not laying the blame on any one player, but this team is not getting the big saves when needed like we did last year.
Way too many passes in the offensive zone, instead of getting pucks to the net.
Way too many passes up the middle in the defensive zone.
Way too many shake and bake moves at the blue line.
While I am venting, all these pre game clips keep showing all the fights and big hits over the years against Detroit and Chicago. Wouldnt it be nice to start building new memories, like big wins over these teams? Only one I can recall seeing is the Brett Hull OT goal that sent Belfour off the deep end.
