Wow - Canada with a tough group. I've never seen a tougher grouping for us.

Awesome!

Why not? They are typically out of the way before the partying starts (though I presume that's not the case for Europe when the games are in North America?), and there have been some classic New Year's eve games.

It's too bad there is no Canada/USA New Year's game this time. It's become a pretty amazing tradition.

In that case I am sorry to hear that. Though given a choice between celebrating New Year's and watching a WJC game, it seems like an easy choice for me! :yo:

So some of us can actually get a chance to go see a game? I'm looking forward to when the individual game tickets go on sale, and hopefully have a chance to see either Canada/Russia on the 26th or Canada/Sweden on the 31st. It's a shame the other games have to be scheduled on a work day...

I am shocked the iihf is letting them use such a small arena only 2500 seats.

It doesn't really matter, it's only for the small draw games where they're not likely to get more than that. Overall they're still going to get higher attendance than they would get in Europe, plus the Canada and USA will balance it out.

I loved watching Canada/USA on New Year's Eve. I am going to really miss that this year. For the past few years my wife and I have hosted a New Year's party and we all enjoy the Canada/USA game.

I don't know, last year I didn't even watch most of the Canada/USA game on NYE until the OT/shootout. Was at a bar drunk already and watched Canada win in the SO in a packed bar, then got even more drunk to ring in the new year. It was pretty fun.

Anyways, just secured tickets for Canada/Norway. So pumped. My first international game.

The Americans have a cake walk to the finals, meanwhile our first three games are against the toughest teams in the tournament.

Travel between HSBC Arena and Dwyer Arena

Hey all,

I hope somebody will be able to help me with this; I've searched for a while without any luck. I will be attending the World Junior Championships in Buffalo, and I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be any form of transportation provided to travel between the two venues, as I would like to catch a few games in Niagara. If not, perhaps those of you that live in the area have some suggestions on the best way to get back and forth(besides driving).

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.
